PDA's Can Be Used As MP3 Players for Music
As a tool for storage and back-up, a PDA can also play mp3s, just like on the desktop computer. The amount of memory on your PDA needs to be considered though for this file eats a lot of space. The PDA has a built in windows media player, where you can run your mp3s. The best part here is that you go about your other tasks on your PDA, while listening to your music. The downside of this multi-tasking however, is that it may slow your PDA down a little.
If all of the space have been eaten, one can use of a memory card. Most PDAs have a slot at the top for this and with the stylus handy, you can simply open the storage card folder where the mp3's are. If there is still enough memory, you can transfer the mp3's to the PDA and play a specific mp3. Again, there’s not much of a difference as with the regular computer.
Speakers are usually found on both sides PDA and you can use this to your advantage, if you want to enjoy the music loudly. Not all PDAs are made this way though. Refer to your manual to identify the location of the speakers and to learn more on its features. There is also a slot for headphones if you’re in the mood to have the music all to yourself or for places where silence is much valued.

Often times, the PDA is able to play music in the .wma format. A little setup is needed but some units are ready-made for this type of file. Going to the settings of the PDA allows you to change it and accept the file types that you wish to play, as well as the Mp3's on your PDA or memory card. Keep in mind that the memory card out can’t be simply taken out of the PDA. Some users would think that the songs are automatically transferred in putting the memory card in and upon removing it, the songs are still in the PDA. It has to be formatted specifically for the PDA before the MP3's you want can be added to the card and run it in the PDA itself. A warning will usually appear if a file is not formatted in your PDA.
Another good thing is that a play list can be created on the PDA as well. Just always remember that the amount of file is vital to your listening enjoyment.
